We are proud to bring the mission of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses to our home here in New Mexico. Founded by local nurses who saw the need for a space to connect, lead, and advocate for our communities, this chapter reflects the unique cultural richness and healthcare challenges of our state. From the borderlands to the pueblos, from rural clinics to urban hospitals, our work is rooted in the realities of the people we serve.

This chapter was created not just to support Hispanic nurses, but to strengthen the fabric of healthcare in New Mexico through collaboration, cultural humility, and a shared commitment to equity.

A Message from the Enchantment of NM President

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to the newly established

Enchantment Chapter of New Mexico of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN). This chapter was born from a shared belief among local nurses that

New Mexico needed a space where Hispanic nurses could come together — not only to support one another professionally, but to celebrate our heritage, elevate our voices, and make a lasting impact on the health of our communities.

As a founding group, we are deeply committed to cultivating leadership, mentorship, and meaningful dialogue around the cultural realities we face in healthcare.

We recognize the strength that exists within our diverse communities,

and we’re here to amplify it.

Whether you’re a student exploring your path in nursing, a practicing professional, or someone who believes in the power of culturally grounded care, I invite you to take part in this movement. Our success depends on the engagement and spirit of those who call New Mexico home.
