About Us

The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) is a leading professional organization committed to advancing the health of Hispanic communities and promoting the professional and leadership development of Hispanic nurses across the United States. Founded in 1975, NAHN has grown into a powerful voice for equity and representation in nursing, striving to eliminate health disparities and ensure culturally competent care for all.

As a national organization, NAHN provides its members with advocacy, mentorship, scholarships, and educational resources to support their growth in all areas of the nursing profession—from clinical practice to academia and policy. NAHN is also a key stakeholder in national conversations about healthcare access, diversity in the workforce, and social determinants of health.

Enchantment Chapter of New Mexico

The NAHN Enchantment Chapter of New Mexico proudly upholds the mission and vision of the national organization while serving the unique needs of Hispanic nurses and communities in our state. Our chapter fosters a network of support for Hispanic nurses at all stages of their careers, from students to seasoned professionals. We are dedicated to creating opportunities for mentorship, leadership, community engagement, and continuing education tailored to the needs of our local members.

Through outreach initiatives, scholarships, and partnerships, the NAHN Enchantment Chapter of New Mexico works to uplift our communities and address the specific health challenges faced by populations in New Mexico. We believe in the power of representation and are committed to building a stronger, more inclusive future for healthcare in our state.

As a nurse we have the opportunity to heal the mind, soul, heart, and body of our patients. They may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
